MGLC: Womanliness
WOMANLINESS is a project we’ve co-created with Sara Jasim for The International Centre of Graphic Arts to be offered in their shop in the time of Ljubljana Biennale of Graphic Arts 2023-2024.
50 pieces of large, luscious bamboo silk scarfs, 50 ritual eye pillows and 50 gentle scrunchies. All of them are hand-plant-dyed in 4 color combinations with unique in-studio developed techniques. A set of pieces comes in a beautiful box, crafted and illustrated by Sara.

The earliest known shamans were female. Collecting traces of the ethereal, to seduce the mythical within us. To reconnect with the self and find true balance, it is the call of Mother Nature sounding across the Universe.
In this project, we pay tribute to a woman, a shapeshifter for peace, a medium that connects us with Mother Earth. All we see, smell and sense is part of it. Nothing is separate. All belongs. Let the natural pigments imprinted on these bamboo silk pieces embrace you and gently remind you that – you too –are a part of it.
